The Bexley Skills Charter team recently met with staff from Playle & Partners to discuss the Charter and the work already being done by the Sidcup-based business that supports its principles.
Playle & Partners LLP have provided clients in the public and private sectors with construction and property advice for over 60 years. The business was formed in 1954 as Chartered Quantity Surveyors and very quickly developed into a multi-disciplinary consultancy, responsive to the constantly changing needs of clients and the market place.
Today, Playle & Partners encourage young people from all backgrounds to identify prospective career objectives, attending local secondary school career fairs and providing a STEM ambassador service, with a particular emphasis on promoting women in the industry.
Work experience placements are made available to young people, providing them with an opportunity to gain insight into Playle & Partners’ business and industry and help them decide whether it is a career they wish to pursue.
For those working at Playle & Partners, professional development opportunities through post-graduate educational degrees are available to ensure staff are effective in the muti-disciplinary business which include Quantity Surveyors, Building Surveyors, Architects, Project Managers and more. They also pay for professional membership for employees’ chosen field of service.
Playle & Partners also support local charities to achieve their objectives and, in turn, support the local community.
It’s clear from meeting with Playle & Partners that support of the Skills Charter principles is part of their business DNA and we look forward to working with them as skills charter supporters.
