The London Borough of Bexley is committed to helping local residents and employees take part in education and learn new skills, in order to achieve their full potential.
However, there are significant challenges facing Bexley: a national shortage of teachers, funding cuts and major reforms to the government’s education and skills policy. Meeting the challenge will require all partners to work with the Council: schools, colleges, work-based learning providers, other employment and skills providers and businesses.
The London Borough of Bexley has created a leaflet presenting the key challenges and issues facing both local businesses and residents. A copy of the leaflet can be found here.
BSEP partners are working together to help the Council meet the skills challenge and ensure all Bexley residents and workers can gain the skills required by the local job market.
