30 Bexley Workplaces Required to Publish 2017 Gender Pay Gap Details

Following the introduction of a new legal requirement attempting to fight workplace discrimination, approximately 30 Bexley workplaces will need to publish details of their gender pay gaps before April 2018.

Those who fail to meet the deadline will be contacted by the Equalities and Human Rights Commission and those who discover they have a gender pay gap will be encouraged to create and publish an action plan to address the problem. Bexley Skills Team Attend the Delivering Skills for London Conference

On Tuesday 28th February 2017, the Bexley Skills Team attended the Delivering Skills for London conference at the University of East London in Stratford.

This conference, arranged by the London Borough of Newham for the 8 boroughs in the Local London sub-region, aimed to get colleges, learning providers, local authorities and employers in the same room to discuss how collaborative working could better deliver the skills London needs now and in the future.

Data released this morning by the Office for National Statistics show that Bexley’s active benefit claimant count (those in receipt of Job Seeker’s Allowance or Universal Credit) did not change from December 2016, remaining static at 2,020.
