On 23 March 2017, Billy from Taking the Pixels was the guest speaker at the 2017 South East London Young Enterprise final held at the London Borough of Bexley Civic Offices. The event took place to find out which South East London school would progress to the London finals on the path to becoming UK Company of the Year.

Data released on the 15th March 2017 shows that Bexley’s active benefit claimant count (those in receipt of Jobseeker’s Allowance or Universal Credit) increased by 100 from January 2017 to reach 2,120 in February 2017. On Tuesday 28th February 2017, the Bexley Skills Team attended the Delivering Skills for London conference at the University of East London in Stratford.
This conference, arranged by the London Borough of Newham for the 8 boroughs in the Local London sub-region, aimed to get colleges, learning providers, local authorities and employers in the same room to discuss how collaborative working could better deliver the skills London needs now and in the future.
